
With great honor, The Medical Center of Aurora and Centennial Medical Plaza recognize Dr. Leonard Losasso as the Physician Recipient of the 2009 Frist Humanitarian Award.
The Frist Humanitarian Award was created in 1971 to honor outstanding individuals for their humanitarian and volunteer activities. Named in honor of Dr. Thomas F. Frist Sr. (1910-1998), the founder of HCA, this award recognizes individuals who serve the community and those in need. Also recognized, are those whose daily dedication and care giving epitomize the highest standards of quality and personal commitment.
Throughout his life, Dr. Frist embraced the value of the human spirit and the duty of each of us to work diligently to improve ourselves and others. He remained true to his beliefs and values of kindness, happiness and integrity.
Dr. Losasso’s peers believe he exhibits the Frist qualities and therefore nominated him as the recipient for this very special recognition.
According to the nomination submitted by a staff member, “Dr. Losasso’s concern for his patients is what sets him apart. He spends quality time, and his patients feel comfortable and less fearful. Doctor Losasso is very approachable, leaving patients and visitors alike feel a since of security and warmth. As an employee working with Dr. Losasso, he is kind and friendly towards all. He is a very positive person, with a pleasant personality. A smile he has for everyone. I'm proud to be working with Dr. Losasso.
