Labor & Delivery Training

At The Medical Center of Aurora, the birthing process is encouraged and supported as a unique family experience. Special attention is placed on the comfort of our new mothers and their families. An outstanding team - including nurses, doctors, certified nurse midwives and neonatal nurse practitioners - cares for our mothers.

To prepare the nurse who is interested in contributing to the labor and delivery process, we offer an entry-level course twice a year, in February and August. Program components include 96 hours of didactic and 12 weeks clinical preceptorship in the following areas:
