Robotic Surgery

Our kidney, bladder and urinary program features the state-of-the-art DaVinci® Robotic Operating System. Robotic surgery is the most advanced minimally invasive surgery available. Specially trained surgeons use robotic components and special operating tools to enhance their skills, while minimizing the number of incisions, blood loss and pain. Most importantly, patients undergoing robotic surgery experience faster recovery times. Our specialists perform the following robotic procedures:

• Prostatectomy (removal of all or part of the prostate)
• Nephrectomy (removal of all or part of the kidney)
• Pyeloplasty (reconstruction of the renal pelvis in order to help drain and decompress the kidney)

• Cryosurgery for kidney masses and prostate cancer - as an alternative to surgical removal of tumors, doctors can freeze and kill abnormal cells using small probes.
