Electrophysiology and Arrhythmia
Advanced Electrophysiology Program
Every year, the cardiac electrophysiologists at The Medical Center of Aurora perform multiple procedures to diagnose and treat rhythm disorders of the heart. In fact, we are the only center in the Rocky Mountains to have three Fellows of the Heart Rhythm Society, the most prestigious designation for electrophysiologists worldwide. Our state-of-the-art cath lab is equipped with the latest technology.
We are a regional leader in the treatment of atrial fibrillation (AF), or irregular heartbeat. Our team of electrophysiologists has created the largest AF ablation center in Denver. We are also a research partner in AF ablation research with the Mayo Clinic.
In addition to AF, the electrophysiologists at The Medical Center of Aurora also treat ventricular tachycardia, atrial tachycardia, post operative atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, and epicardial ablation. Learn more about catheter ablation and our treatment options for arrhythmia.
We offer state of the art device implantation, such as pacemakers, defibrillators, resynchronization devices and implanted recorders. Our team of electrophysiologists participate in a variety of clinical trials of cardiac arrhythmia device therapies. Many of these trials are world-wide and have major impact on delivery of the highest quality cardiac care available.
