Administration

• Work with management teams
• Drug Utilization Evaluation
  • Attend and present at bi-monthly P & T Committee
• Attend various committee meetings
• Involved with pertinent projects at TMCA
• Lecture topics will be discussed

 

Emergency Medicine

• Code Blue participation (Cardiac/Pulmonary Resuscitation)
  • Assist medical team by dosing and dispensing medications needed
• Trauma team participation
  • Assist trauma team by dosing and dispensing medications needed
• Stroke Alert participation
• Cardiac Alert participation
• Obtain medication history from patients
• Sepsis team participation
• Drug Information resource for Emergency Department staff
• Lecture topics will be discussed

 

Infectious Disease

• Round daily with Infectious Disease doctors
• Attend weekly microbiology rounds
• Patient medication review
• Lecture topics will be discussed

 

Critical Care Medicine

• Round daily with Critical Care team
• Attend daily ICU rounds
• Patient medication review
• Pharmacokinetic profiles/dosing
• Lecture topics will be discussed

 

Internal Medicine

• Round daily with Internal Medicine doctors
• Patient medication review
• Provide in-services to nurses as needed
• Lecture topics will be discussed

Cardiology

• Round daily with Cardiologist
• Follow patients in the Clinic
• Attend Cardiac Alert in the ER
• Lecture topics will be discussed

Oncology

• Round with oncologists / palliative care physicians
• Evaluate chemotherapy orders with preceptor
• Work closely with chemotherapy infusion center
• Provide in-services to oncology nurse as needed
