The Medical Center of Aurora Offering Free Heart Health Screenings in February
Aurora, CO, Jan. 31, 2011 – The Medical Center of Aurora, a leading Colorado heart health hospital, is offering free heart health screenings around Aurora throughout the month of February. The goal of these screenings is to promote cardiovascular health to the community in honor of National Heart Month. Offered screenings, free of charge, include: cholesterol test, glucose level, blood pressure check, stroke and heart disease risk assessment, and BMI calculations. • Wednesday, February 23rd: 7:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., The Medical Center of Aurora Main Campus
• Friday, February 25th: 8:00 a.m. - 11 a.m., Centennial Medical Plaza

We want to remind the community of the importance of living a heart healthy life and provide them with the opportunity to know their numbers and manage their health,” said John Hill, president and CEO of The Medical Center of Aurora.
In addition to providing heart health screenings, the Macy’s Town Center at Aurora event on February 5th will also offer complimentary facials, skincare tips, makeovers and fragrance consultations from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. No appointment is necessary, however women are encouraged to reserve a time for a facial/makeover by calling Macy’s at 303-214-1860. All activities will take place on the main floor at Macy’s.
The Colorado Chapter of the American Heart Association will host a Kid Zone from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. featuring heart healthy educational activities in the Children’s Department at Macy’s. All attendees will be eligible for prize drawings throughout the day.
